John is a supervising attorney at Glantzlaw where he focuses his practice on civil family law matters. He has practiced law in Florida for over 30 years. His experience includes complex litigation involving marital estate valuation and equitable distribution of assets and liabilities, alimony, child support, parental responsibility, parenting plans and timesharing. John is well suited to assist clients in dissolution proceedings and pre-dissolution planning.
John was able to create Florida precedent regarding the best interests of a child overriding technical procedures in relocation matters. He also argued successfully before Florida’s 3rd District Court of Appeals that clauses in Marital Settlement Agreements restricting a parent’s ability to obtain temporary fees in connection with child related issues are unenforceable.
In addition to his family law experience, John has years of experience as a commercial litigator in numerous matters, including defending property owners in ADA matters, corporate/shareholder/member disputes, and automotive ownership issues. John has litigated automotive deceptive and unfair trade practice matters and has extensive dealings with The Florida Department of Financial Services regarding automotive dealership issues.
